SAFETY COMES FIRST
All Dior products are compliant with the most stringent international laws and satisfy our own specific internal standards of quality development and traceability.
At its own laboratories and in collaboration with external partners, Parfums Christian Dior uses over 600 analytical methods to assess its raw materials and finished products. In order to ensure the high tolerance of our finished products, these materials and products are evaluated under medical supervision using in-vitro and clinical tests.
EVER MORE STRINGENT FORMULAS
Over and above the regulations, Dior excludes the following ingredients from the formulation of its new products while seeking alternatives that will maintain our products’ sensory qualities and performance:
• BHA (Butylhydroxyanisole), Diethyl phthalate, Dormaldehyde-releasing preservatives, Ethanolamine, Homosalate, Palm oil and palm oil derivatives not certified by the RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil), Methylisothiazolinone/methylchloroisothiazolinone, Octocrylene, Oxybenzone and other benzophenones, Parabens, Cyclic silicones (cyclohexasiloxane, cyclopentasiloxane), Aluminum salts, Triclocarban, Triclosan, Triethanolamine •
EVER MORE SUSTAINABLE NATURAL INGREDIENTS
It is our firm belief that sustainable beauty begins with natural, sustainable ingredients.
We evaluate the sustainability of each natural ingredient through its impact on several environmental parameters and on society. Through this approach, we are now part of a pioneering multi-brand initiative for environmentally conscious ratings of beauty products. However, we do not exclude synthetic ingredients when they offer a better sustainability profile.
EVER MORE SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE SOURCING
From the exceptional perfume flower gardens in Grasse to the skincare gardens, our long-time partners grow these precious flowers according to the principles of organic agriculture, striving for the finest quality for the House's ingredients.
Our goal for these gardens is to move towards regenerative agricultural practices in order to have a positive impact on biodiversity and on the communities that cultivate them, while also seeking to increase the proportion of organic certification in the other channels as much as possible.
As a member of the Union for Ethical BioTrade (UEBT), Dior is committed to continuously improving its impact on biodiversity and society.
